1 – Introduction (Giới thiệu chung):  Giới thiệu ngắn gọn món đồ bạn muốn thay thế, đề cập đến thời gian mà bạn đã sử dụng món đồ. Có thể thêm lý do chung chung tại sao bạn lại muốn thay thế nó. 

Một số mẫu câu: 

• I would like to talk about [item] that I have been using for [time].

• I have owned [item] for [time], and now I feel it’s time for an upgrade.

• After using [item] for [time], I’ve realized that it’s no longer as efficient as before, so I want to replace it.

• The [item] I want to replace is [specific item]. It has served me well for [time], but now it has several issues that make me consider getting a new one.

• I’ve been using my [item] for quite a long time, and recently I noticed that it doesn’t work as well as it used to, that’s why I’m thinking about replacing it.

2 – What it is (Mô tả vật dụng): Cung cấp các thông tin về vật dụng mà bạn muốn thay thế, bạn nên đề cập đến thương hiệu, mẫu mã, thiết kế và các đặc điểm nổi bật. Bạn có thể mô tả thêm về chất liệu, màu sắc, kích thước hoặc tính năng đặc biệt của vật dụng 

Một số mẫu câu: 

• It is a [brand/model] that has [specific features].

• The item I want to replace is a [brand/model], which is known for its [main characteristic].

• I own a [brand/model], and it comes with [specific features such as size, color, technology, etc.].

• My [item] is a [brand/model], and what makes it special is [unique feature].

• This [item] has been with me for a long time, it has [mention a few key features], but now it’s getting outdated.

3 – How long you have owned it (Thời gian sở hữu): Bạn cần đưa ra khoảng thời gian bạn sở hữu vật dụng, bên cạnh đó đề cập đến cách mà bạn có được nó (tự mua, được tặng…)

It has been in my possession for [time period], and over the years, I have noticed some significant changes.

• I’ve had this [item] for [time period], and while it used to work perfectly, it has now become quite outdated.

• This [item] has been with me for [time period], and although it has served me well, I think it’s time for a replacement.

• I received this [item] as a gift [time period] ago, and at that time, it was one of the best [items] available.

• I purchased this [item] [time period] ago, and back then, I was really excited about it. However, after years of use, it no longer functions as efficiently as before

4 – What you use it for (Công dụng của vật dụng): Bạn thường sử dụng vật dụng này trong cuộc sống hàng ngày vào việc gì, đưa ra các ví dụ cụ thể. Bạn có thể nói thêm về tần suất sử dụng và mức độ quan trọng của nó. 

Một số mẫu câu: 

• I mainly use it for [general purpose], such as [specific activities].

• This item plays an essential role in my daily life, as I rely on it for [main functions].

• It serves multiple purposes, including [activity 1] and [activity 2], making my life more convenient.

• One of the primary reasons I use this [item] is to [main purpose], which helps me [benefit].

• I use it on a daily basis for [activity], and without it, my routine would be much more challenging.

• Apart from [main use], I also use it for [secondary use], which adds to its overall value.

• Over the years, it has become an indispensable part of my life because I depend on it for [purpose].

5 – Explain why you want to replace it (Lý do muốn thay thế): Bạn nên đưa ra ít nhất 2 đến 3 lý do tại sao bạn muốn thay thế. Gợi ý một số lý do: 

• Vật dụng đã cũ, hỏng hóc ở bộ phận nào đấy
• Công nghệ lỗi thời, không đáp ứng được nhu cầu hiện tại của bản thân
• Bạn muốn sở hữu phiên bản tốt hơn đang có trên thị trường 
• Tính năng không còn phù hợp với cuộc sống và sở thích của bạn

• Although this [item] has served me well, it is now [issue], which makes it difficult to use. Moreover, [another issue]. For these reasons, I believe it’s time for an upgrade.

• Over time, I have noticed that my [item] has become [problem 1]. Not only that, but it also [problem 2]. Because of these issues, I have decided to replace it.

• One of the main reasons I want to replace my [item] is that [issue 1]. Furthermore, [issue ]. Given these drawbacks, I think getting a new one would be a better choice.

I’d like  to talk about my smartphone, which is a Samsung Galaxy S9. I’ve been using it for almost six years now. I first bought it in 2018, and it was a very popular model, known for its sleek design and curved-edge display. It also had a 12-megapixel camera, which was pretty impressive at the time.

I use my phone almost every day for a variety of purposes. I use it to stay in touch with friends and family through calls and messages, and I’m also very active on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Plus , I use my phone for taking photos, listening to music, checking emails, and browsing the internet. It’s been an essential part of my daily life, especially for staying organized and connected.

However, over the past year or so, I’ve started to notice some significant problems with the phone. The most obvious issue is that the battery drains incredibly fast now, sometimes barely lasting half a day. The performance has also slowed down quite a bit; apps freeze, and the phone lags, especially when I try to use multiple apps at once. Also, the camera quality, which was once great, has become quite blurry, and it doesn’t take good photos in low light anymore. Lastly, my phone no longer receives software updates, which means I miss out on new features and security improvements.

Because of these issues, I’ve decided that it’s time to replace it with a newer model that has better battery life, a faster processor, and an improved camera. I’m excited to upgrade to something that will meet my needs better and work more efficiently.
